Pura Vida Collection Reservation - Terms & Conditions


All bookings are made with D’Ensueno Event Productions acting as agents on behalf of the owners of the properties featured in the company website. The payment of any deposit for the rental rate and written confirmation by e-mail shall be taken as acceptance of the following conditions.

1. Reservation Process

Our reservation department will provide you the availability of the house or houses that you required with the applicable rates for the period that you are asking with the total amount with taxes, services and the payment policies. Any reservation will be guarantee upon first deposit.  Bookings are for a minimum of three (3) nights unless otherwise specified in the confirmation of availability.
The rates telephone, fax charges, food, soft drinks and/or liquor, personal items and expenses due to any other third parties or replacement of breakage's.

2. Payment

Before the booking is confirmed and the written confirmation is due, D’Ensueno reserves the right to increase or decrease the agreed prices.
An initial deposit of 40% of the total amount must be paid to guarantee a reservation. During the season of Christmas and New Year, fifty percent (50%) of the villa rental due is to be paid to guarantee the house rental.
The final deposit must be paid 20 days before the day of arrival, unless otherwise specified in the confirmation of availability.
If D’Ensueno does not receive the balance by the due date, we reserves the right to cancel the reservation and cancellation charges will apply.
If the reservation is confirmed within 20 days of the arrival date, the whole amount of the rental is to be paid at the time of reservation.

3. Cancellation policies

In case of cancellation of the rental, D’Ensueno Event Productions must be notified in writing (e-mail available). The cancellation will take effect from the day the written confirmation is received.
The following cancellation charges will be applicable depending on when the notification of the cancellation is received in writing and the period of stay in the House:
High and Low Season:
30 days or more before arrival date:
3% of the initial deposit we will be accredited to the house as a cancellation fee. The rest will be credit amount to use in a year period applicable to any other houses and transferable to another person.
Within 30 days of arrival date:
From the full deposit, the whole amount will be accredited if D’Ensueno  secures another reservation covering the cancelled reservation.
Peak Season (Christmas, New Years and Holly Week:
From the full deposit, the whole amount will be accredited if D’Ensueno  secures another reservation covering the cancelled reservation.
In case of not payment of the balance at the according time and not communication  D’Ensueno reserves the right to cancel the reservation and keep the initial deposit.

4. Arrival & Departure Times

Guests should assume that the Check In Time is 1:00pm and Check Out time is 12:00pm. These times are open to change according  The guest is responsible for informing the correct arrival details.

5. Alterations and Cancellations by D’Ensueno Event Productions

Though it is unlikely that D’Ensueno will have to make any changes to confirmed arrangements, it does occasionally happen, and we will advise you at the earliest possible date. If, for any reason beyond our control, we are unable to provide you with the house reserved, we shall reserve the right to cancel the reservation and look for a alternative that will adapt to the house choose in the first place.

6. Registered guests

Only those people stipulated on the reservation form may reside at the property as guests. Please notify us as soon as possible of any changes. The number of people staying at the property, including children, must not exceed the maximum capacity indicated in the property description. unless specifically authorized.
No camping is permitted in the property grounds.
In case of a event organize by the guests, if the number of people exceeds the  1.5 times of the maximum occupancy of the villa, a surcharge will apply.

7. Security Deposit

A security deposit may be payable to D’Ensueno the day of your arrival. This is to cover the cost of any damage or breakage's during the rental period of the Houses or their contents. If requested this amount will be returned to you at the time of departure, less any such costs.

8. Insurance

It is a mandatory condition of the guest that the entire party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellation, flight delays, loss and damage to baggage and other property) and health insurance (including evacuation and repatriation coverage). D’Ensueno or the owners of the rented houses are not responsible of you and your party against all claims including any accidents related to the use of the Villa facilities.
D’Ensueno is not responsible in case of additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by events outside of D’Ensueno Event Productions control such as civil disturbances, fires, flood, severe weather.
By acceptance of the reservation form is assumed by D'Ensueno that this requirement has and will be complied with in full.

9. Complaints

Each House varies in standard, quality and finish and there are differences in style and decor. Property descriptions as provided by D’Ensueno, on the website and in the reservation form.
We accepts no responsibility for any modifications made which are not mentioned on the website or in the reservation form. D’Ensueno, the house owner and/or the local representative can not be held liable for the breakdown of the supply of water, or electricity, or internet connection nor of swimming pool filtration systems, though we will use our best endeavors to arrange for any such problems to be solved quickly.
If there are any problems during the rental period, which could not be solved by dealing directly with the local villa staff, contact our main office and a representative will visit you immediately.. It is understood that infrastructure, local standards and conditions are often of a less developed nature in a remote resort location than in more urban environments.
Any complaints must be notified within 24 hours of the occurrence giving rise to the complaint, and must then be notified in writing before departure. Should a problem that has been notified remain unsolved please make a complaint in writing to us within 14 days of the completion of the rental period. If the Villa is vacated before the end of the rental period without mutual agreement this may result in the loss of all rights to compensation.

10. Conduct & Behavior

The person paying the deposit for the villa rental is responsible for the correct and appropriate behavior of the guests staying at the house (s). Should any member of the party behave in a manner considered inappropriate, either D’Ensueno, the villa owner or the local representative may at their absolute discretion ask the offending guest or guests to vacate the Villa forthwith.

11. Staff at the villas

The services of some staff may be included at the villas (concierge, maid, Costa Rican chef). Additional services such as those of baby sitters and/or drivers can be sourced in advance or on site upon request, although such services cannot be guaranteed and depend on availability.

13. Linen & Towels

Linen and towels are provided at the houses. These are normally changed every three (3) days. If you require more frequent changes there may be extra charges. Limited laundry facilities exist on site and charges are made per item. Outside services are also available for a small service charge and must be paid at the time incurred or latest at the time of departure.

14. Valuables

Any valuables left at the property are the guests sole responsibility. Neither D’Ensueno nor the owners nor the staff can be hold responsible for any loss or damage of personal property.

15. Due care and supervision

As part of this agreement Guests are required to take due care when residing at the houses and be especially watchful of children playing in the gardens, near the entrance, near or in the pool or Jacuzzi, on the beach, or in the sea.
Furthermore Guests are not permitted to enter the houses when wet from swimming as the floors can be slippery. Damage or injury arising as  result shall not be the responsibility of D’Ensueno, the Villa owners or the local representative in any way whatsoever.
